Inventor Professor Carden creates a robot twin that can be programmed with the brain waves of any person. Dr. Dall, a visiting scientist, recommends that Batman's brain waves be used to program the robot. Batman agrees to the experiment, then must leave to deal with an emergency. While Batman is away Dr. Dall steals the robot.
Since the robot is programmed with all of Batman's knowledge, Dr. Dall tries to make it reveal Batman's secret identity. However, the robot is compelled to keep the secret. Instead Dall sends the robot to capture Batman. Batman outwits the robot the first time, and when it tries again, he tricks it into an electric shock which resets its program. Batman then captures Dall and his henchmen.
