Robin tells King about four different escapes. King is unable to determine how they escaped. Robin thinks he has won the challenge, but King double-crosses him. He has listened to Robin give him secrets of the escapes, so he makes his own death-trap even more foolproof.
Batman has regained consciousness, while Robin delayed King. Using the time, Batman contacts the police. They arrive in time to capture King and prevent Batman and Robin from being placed in the trap.
