A gang of bank robbers uses an experimental missile to open a bank vault. Batman deduces that the missile must have come from the space research college. Batman investigates the college and several volunteers undergoing testing. When Batman joins the tests, one of the volunteers tries to kill him. Batman exposes the spy, Groff, who has been smuggling secrets to the gang outside the college.
