PLOT:
Three ex-cons become bounty hunters, turning in criminals for reward money. When they run out of crooks, the trio springs Nick Rossi from jail. Then they attempt to double-cross Rossi, turning him in for the reward. Batman intervenes and recaptures Rossi. Batman then puts out word about a reward for Soupy McCue, a phony felon. The gang tries to capture McCue, but Batman and Robin are waiting for them. The Dynamic Duo then captures the crooks, taking them to jail for the break-out of Nick Rossi.


TITLE: The Hard-Working Hoodlum

PLOT:
While in prison Hasty Herman decides that he will become the hardest working crook in the business. When he is released from jail Herman and his gang train to become better crooks. Herman also advises the gang to strike out of town, so that Air Wave won't interfere.

On their first job, they break into the house of an out-of-town police chief to rob his sage. Coincidentally, Air Wave is discussing the safe with the chief during the robbery. Using his radio, Air Wave tunes in on the safe and hears Herman's drill. Despite Herman's attempts to thwart his opponent, Air Wave prevails and sends Herman back to prison.

TITLE: Case of the Smoking Sign

CHARACTERS: Slam Bradley; Shorty Morgan

PLOT:
Slam notices that a billboard sign is giving off coded smoke signals. When he and Shorty investigate, they are ambushed by a gang of crooks. The crooks try to kill the detectives, but Slam and his partner are rescued by a fisherman.

Slam follows a lead and finds that Red Legs Rister is in police custody across the street from the sign. He suspects that the gang is relaying messages to their boss. Slam then uses the sign to send Red Legs a message of his own. Slam's message convinces the crook to confess, and the gang is captured.

TITLE: Saga of the North Land

CHARACTERS: Boy Commandos; Andre Chavard; Brooklyn; Alfy Twidgett

PLOT:
The Boy Commandos are sent to the arctic island of Kaska on a scouting mission. The island is occupied by the Japanese, but the Commandos meet a native woman living on the island. The woman, Margo, helps the Commandos obtain pictures of the Japanese defenses.

Before the Commandos can leave the island, the Japanese capture Brooklyn, Rip, and Margo. They are soon rescued by the other Commandos. Margo decides to stay behind, while the Commandos return home with their intelligence. When an attack force returns to the island, the Japanese have already fled, leaving Margo to reclaim her home.
