CHARACTERS:
Slam Bradley; Shorty Morgan
PLOT:
Anxious for action, Slam starts a barfight near the docks. When Shorty discovers his wallet missing, he finds it on the floor. After leaving the bar, Shorty discovers the wallet is not his. The wallet contains a note that indicates a possible robbery aboard a ship. Slam goes to warn the captain, only to discover that the crew are all crooks. Slam and Shorty are then locked in the brig.
When the ship sets sail, Slam and Shorty are released. However, Slam causes trouble and is soon thrown back into the brig. When he smells smoke, Slam thinks the ship is on fire. He escapes from the cabin and discovers the crooks have faked the fire in order to get close to an ocean liner. They plan to rob it, but Slam and Shorty disrupt their plan and alert the other ship's crew. The crooks are taken into custody, and the detectives are rewarded.
