PLOT:
Jimmy Olsen is preparing to leave Arkham Asylum after interviewing the Joker just as a guard is moving Killer Croc. Croc escapes from his bonds, kills the guard and then attacks Jimmy. Jimmy saves himself by using his Elastic Lad powers to evade Croc. Killer Croc is soon subdued by guards and Jimmy seems to have no memory of what he just did.

The Monitors are debating the methods of one of their group who wants to kill any person who has ended up in the wrong universe. This group would include, according to him, Supergirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, Ion and Donna Troy.

Red Arrow is guarding Karate Kid who is being held in the JLA satellite. The JLA wants to know why members of the Legion have traveled back from the thirty-first century.

Mirror Master, Trickster and Pied Piper are on a boat with a rich, older man in deep water. Piper has hypnotized the man to transfer his money to Mirror Master's bank account and then jump off the boat. Trickster has set explosives on the boat to blow it up when they leave it. This is all to convince Mirror Master they belong with the other Rogues and he accepts them. Piper then transfers the money out of MM's account and says he put it in his own but really he's transferred it to a homeless children's fund. Later, when Trickster and Piper are alone, Trickster accuses Piper of saving the man he ordered in the water by convincing him he could swim to shore. In exchange for not telling Mirror Master, Trickster gets Piper to transfer the millions to his bank account.

Mary Marvel has traveled to Gotham City. She is being chased by some men and is drawn towards an abandoned building. There she is saved by Black Adam who kills the men. The building is the old Kahndaq embassy.

NOTE:
Two page end of issue story entitled, "History of the Multiverse, Chapter 1" in which the Monitors look at the history of the Multiverse. From blackness came a growing light which led to the birth of the multiverse. Each universe was supposed to remain separate and did until the Flash (Barry Allen) accidentally vibrated himself from Earth-One to Earth-Two. There he met that Earth's Flash, Jay Garrick. They teamed up to defeat Flash's villains before Barry returned to his own Earth. This led to later encounters between heroes of the two Earths.
