Mary Marvel was saved by the spaceship's blast by Eclipso who teleported them both away. Eclipso is trying to convince Mary to return to Darkseid but Mary feels like she is being used by Eclipso. She takes Eclipso's gem from her and uses it on Eclipso herself.

Jimmy Olsen is working with other slaves on Apokolips, throwing dead slaves into the fire pits. A soldier attacks Jimmy for daydreaming and threatens to hurt him worse that night. A stranger dressed in rags catches Jimmy's eye and, when Jimmy investigates, finds out the stranger is Mister Miracle. Jimmy knows that Barda, Miracle's wife, has been killed but doesn't know how he has that knowledge. Miracle was using a Mother Box to track down Barda's soul. The box led him to this place on Apokolips but Mr. Miracle can find no trace of her. The Mother Box tells Mr. Miracle that Jimmy's powers only occur when his life is in danger. To activate them Miracle takes Jimmy into the air and then drops him over one of the fire pits.

Mxyzptlk finds his way back to the 5th dimension and tells his wife to seal it off so Superman -Prime can't get him again.

Piper and Trickster are hiding out on a train rail car when Deadshot finds them. They are able to toss him out of the rail car but he grabs Trickster's cape during his fall. Piper is able to hang on to the rail car which saves him and Trickster since they are still tied together.
