She leads him through a chase across the rooftops of the East End. When she finally runs out of rooftop, Batman confronts her about her recent wave of thievery to which Catwoman admits that she really doesn't know why she is committing all of these crimes. She theorizes that perhaps she is just looking for a 'rush' - a rush she admits she would have gladly given up for the chance to raise her daughter Helena.

Batman questions that statement, reminding Selina that she did have every opportunity to turn away and run from the life she had chosen but she opted not to and instead was forced to give away her only child. At first, Selina is enraged by this claim but eventually realizes that Bruce is telling the truth. She cannot escape who she is (and more importantly what she is).

On that note, Selina dives off of the building and lands on the streets below where she steals the Bat-Mobile and drives off into the night.
