"Guy" turned out to be "Joe," a genetically enhanced clone of Guy. An aerial strike team neared their location with orders to destroy. Oracle realized they'd been set up - the prisoner wasn't a prisoner, but a mad scientist. Joe got them free and took out the fighter planes single-handedly; he'd been given super powers (including flight). War was threatened over Oracle's use of the orbiting super weapon.
