It has been forty-two weeks since Bruce Wayne has become Batman and he finds the city of Gotham a less dangerous place than before. Now, the last piece of crime topples as Batman goes after the source of the drug trade. He captures the crime boss and then provides evidence to the cops to secure the conviction.
The next day, Bruce decides to celebrate and goes to the museum, where he meets a woman named Lorna Shore and he asks out on a date. That night, Batman investigates a robbery at a jewelry store in which nothing was stolen, but the proprietors murdered, although their deaths don’t seem to be the motive. Batman begins his investigation, but turns up nothing.
Elsewhere, Jack sits at the bar, depressed that his job as lost the excitement and purpose it once had. That night, Jack robs a bank, but finds no joy in it. He even surrenders to the police. Then, when Batman arrives and Jack sees the costume and the utility belt, yet battling Jack’s henchmen with a serous attitude, Jack just finds it ridiculous.
