PLOT:
Batman continued to piece together the Nicodemus puzzle. He was questioning a guard when the killer struck at a banquet in honor of Thomas Hart - his surviving victim. Hart was killed and the mayor was taken hostage. Batman saved the mayor, who was strapped to the front of a run-away rail car full of explosives. Batman figured it out - Nicodemus was Hart - all the victims were linked to his parents' deaths or his childhood. Nicodemus was gone.
