PLOT:
The mysterious Talia introduced in Detective #411 is here seen to be more than she first appeared. Ra's al-Ghul, her father, breeches the Batcave after determining that Bruce Wayne was a worthy suitor for his daughter, now revealed to be Talia, and makes Bruce an offer he can refuse. He won't become the heir to the League of Assassins criminal empire. The rejection would lead to a long and unhealthy relationship between Batman and R'as.
Talia, by contrast, proves harder for Bruce to refuse. And thus a Shakespearian tragedy is born in the Batcave, with Bruce and R'as at each other's throats, with Talia caught firmly in the middle.
Robin tags along to be the bait for the elder al-Ghul's attention-grabbing scheme.
NOTE:
First appearance of Ra's Al Ghul.
