PLOT:
A small time hood, Phil Cobb, moves to Gotham trying to make a name for himself. He begins a career as the Signalman, taunting Batman with clues to his crimes. Batman is able to decipher his clues and arrive on the scene, but Signalman escapes several times. Finally, Signalman captures Batman, but the Caped Crusader escapes a death trap and captures the crook.

PLOT:
Professor Nichols travels back to ancient Rome but does not return on time. Batman and Robin follow him and learn that Nichols is being held prisoner by a Roman king. The Dynamic Duo is captured, but they construct a giant balloon which carries them to freedom. Then they return to their own time with Professor Nichols.

PLOT:
Batman awakens in a mental institution. The staff tells him that he is not Batman, but he escapes and returns to Wayne Manor. Dick Grayson and Alfred do not know who he is, and Bruce Wayne is there too. Batman leaves, pursued by the police, but he eventually realizes that it is a hoax. He returns to Wayne Manor where Robin reveals that the hoax was done to protect Batman from a gas which he was exposed to. He needed to stay active, so Robin created the hoax.
