PLOT:
Bruce Wayne is hypnotized as part of an experiment by Professor Carter Nichols. Bruce finds himself transported to ancient Rome. He witnesses a man being beaten on the streets and intervenes as Batman. Soldiers working for Publius Malchio arrest Batman and throw him in prison.

Still in the present, Dick Grayson senses trouble and has Professor Nichols hypnotize him as well. Dick arrives in Rome and helps Batman break out of jail along with a court jester.

Batman, Robin, and the Jester then help Gito, the charioteer, who is attacked by Malchio's men. Gito is injured, so Batman replaces him in the chariot race. After winning the race and a duel with a gladiator, Batman forces Malchio into exile. Following the adventure, Bruce and Dick are brought out of the hypnotic spell and return to the present.

PLOT:
Alfred tries to return a package to a woman from the district attorney's office, but she refuses to take it back. Alfred takes the package to Bruce Wayne, who opens it and deciphers a coded message inside. The message indicates that Sam Caldwin, a banker, is scheduled to be arrested.

Batman visits Caldwin, only to discover the man is an embezzler. A gang of crooks helps smuggle Caldwin out of the country. Batman is delayed and fails to stop them. Commissioner Gordon tells Batman that the gang has been in operation for some time.

To smoke out the crooks, Bruce Wayne pretends to be an embezzler too. The crooks approach him and try to smuggle him out of the country. On board a ship, they double-cross Bruce and throw him in the ocean. Robin rescues him. Then Batman and Robin apprehend the gang.

TITLE: Adventures of Alfred - Police Line-Up

PLOT:
Alfred visits a police line-up in order to memorize the faces of criminals. Later, he recognizes a man from the line-up on the street and follows him. When crooks hold-up the man, Alfred rescues him and takes out the crooks. The man, who is a police detective, thanks Alfred for his help. Alfred doesn't admit that he thought the detective was a criminal himself.

TITLE: The Mayors of Yonville

PLOT:
Tweedledee and Tweedledum are elected mayors of Yonville. Batman and Robin expect trouble, but the Tweeds jail two bank robbers in accordance with the law. However, the Tweeds also jail Batman and Robin for violating a city ordinance while apprehending the crooks.

While Batman and Robin are in jail, the Tweeds salt and old gold mine. They then offer the mine to the town in exchange for money to mine the gold. The town gives the Tweeds all their money. Before the crooks can skip town, Batman breaks out of jail and apprehends them. He explains the circumstances to the town and also shows them that the mine did contain gold. The Tweeds are taken to prisoner, and the townspeople recover their investments.
