Batgirl saw her life flash before her eyes, Spoiler played the part of the Ghost of Christmas Past. She woke in time to escape a watery death. She began studying tapes of the Brotherhood of Evil so that she could defeat them.
Penguin set up a meeting to pay the contract on Batgirl's death. Though he was tipped off, Batgirl defeated the Brootherhood and handed them over to the police along with a huge load of contraband.
