Action Figures & Dolls - Action Figures - Comic - DC Superheroes (Mattel) - Cyborg Superman Rwview
CYBORG SUPERMAN REVIEW
Fans first got a glimpse of the Cyborg Superman at the 2007 Toy Fair. The figure quickly became a favorite and one of the most sought out figures of the entire DC Superheroes line. The problem, however, was that the figure, only seen as a small picture, (not even a prototype figure) was no where to be found.

At the 2007 Comic Con, it was announced that the Cyborg Superman would be released in the near future. Not really part of an actually series, this figure has finally been found in some areas.
I was lucky enough to find one of these at Big Lots. They had just finished their Christmas reset, and all the pegs were full with the last Superman wave, not to mention some of the older Batman comic style deluxe figures and the current wave from the DC Superheroes: Justice League Unlimited line (Yes, the Joker and Hawkman waves!).

Since the Cyborg Superman is so rare for the time being, I felt it was the best figure to write my first review for.
CHARACTER HISTORY:
After Superman had died at the hands of Doomsday, four men came out and claimed to be Superman. Only Hank Henshaw truly resembled the Man of Steel and, thus, claimed to be Superman reborn. This was a lie; the truth was, Henshaw sought to ruin Superman’s reputation because he blamed him for how he became a cyborg.
PACKAGING:
I really liked the purple and black packaging when it first appeared as the new style for the JLU line, but for some reason, the purple packaging just doesn’t click with me anymore. I do like how there are no twist ties to hold the figure in place.

ARTICULATION:
Cyborg Superman is basically a repaint of the latest Superman. He has 21 points of articulation which are the Neck (1), Shoulders (2), Biceps (2), Elbows (2), Wrists (2), Torso (1), Waist (1), Hips (4), Calves (2), Knees (2), and Ankles (2). This is the perfect amount to make him poseable, which helps with both displaying and playing.
OVERALL:
I really like this figure. While most of the Superman waves I’ve not cared for, like many other fans, I’d hoped I wouldn’t end up having to bid for Cyborg Superman. So if you see this guy, pick him up! Now if we could get Superboy and the Eradicator, there would be a full Superman/Doomsday cast.
