Action Figures & Dolls - Action Figures - Comics - DC Direct - Mattel's Comics Style Batman - Series 3 - Killer Croc Review
Killer Croc
Batman, Wave 3: Mattel, 2004 SKU# C0046
Killer Croc is another member of Batman’s Rogues Gallery. This Killer Croc is sculpted by The Four Horsemen the same as Batman and Joker. Killer Croc is a green reptile-man and looks remarkably like the Jim Lee version of him in the HUSH series. In fact if you get the Wal-Mart exclusive of this figure with the comic book, Killer Croc is in it.
SPECS:
The figure stands 6 1/4 inches tall and has 15 points of articulation (head, jaw, shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles) and 8” tail with wire inside for poseability. It comes with a piece of pipe as an accessory/weapon.
PROS:
This is one of the better Killer Croc figures ever released. The left arm controls the opening and closing of the jaw. The wire in the tail will hold it nearly any position. The torn shirt can be removed if you want to.
CONS:
Elbows and knees would have been nice, but the lack of them does not detract from the figure.
OVERALL:
The figure has good playability and a really good value. Unfortunately, it’s one of the harder figures to find at retail. It was released on as a single both with and without a comic book included. Recently a “Battle Damaged” Killer Croc and Batman have been released as a two pack.
Just about any figure done by The Four Horsemen is worth picking up. Thanks to the Wal-Mart exclusives that flooded the market the price of the figure has stayed somewhat low considering how rare the villains are.
