Action Figures & Dolls - Action Figures - Animated - The Batman - Series 4 - Bruce TO Batman Review
Bruce To Batman
The Batman Wave 4: Mattel, 2005
Yet another interpretation of Bruce Wayne with a “Quick Change” style Batsuit. This is a younger Bruce Wayne and he comes in an all black jumpsuit with blue accent lines along the collar, waist and sides. The Batsuit pieces are medium blue with gray accents on the gloves and boots.
SPECS:
The figure stands 5.5 inches tall (to the ear tips) and has 10 points of articulation (head, neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees) and features a snap on Cowl with a Cloth Cape. Cover pieces for Gloves, Boots and Utility Belt snap on too. The figure comes with a very large Batarang as well.
PROS:
A great Bruce Wayne figure, and good for a “Quick Change” type of figure too.
CONS:
No real cons that I can think of, at least none that detract from the figure. The Cowl fits snug and while it was not meant to turn while wearing it, the head will turn a little. The Gloves and Belt don’t snap on as well as the Boots do. The Boots snap on very tight and I can see a stress crack starting on the ones on my figure as I’ve had them on and off a few times.
OVERALL:
A really good figure and probably the only version of Bruce Wayne we are likely to see if Mattel follows suit the way Kenner/Hasbro has done in the past.
All the parts hold on well enough and should stay on during play. At least it is a solid figure and does not have the spring loaded “turtle head” that a few of the other Bruce Wayne converting to Batman figures have had in the past. The figure actually stands just a bit taller than Zip Action Batman and has a slightly more pointed chin as well.
