The Dark Knight did not take down Tropic Thunder this weekend, however it did take down Vader, twice!
The Dark Knight took second seat as the weekends second place grosser, beating Star Wars: Clone Wars. It also breezed past Star Wars to become the second domestic film of all time!

Now, just for those Star Wars and Spidey fans...
Star Wars still places second in the all time adjusted charts. Spider-Man is #33. However it shouldn't take any time at all to sail past the 500 Million mark, taking Spider-Man down on the adjust chart as well.
If, and that is a big if, The Dark Knight is able to pull in 600 Million, it would need and 128 Million to do it, and would place the film at least in the #19 adjusted place.
Time will tell, but one thing's for sure: The Dark Knight has no limits.
