We only know pretty much two things of the new Batman cartoon; that it will be CGI and will be darker than Brave and The Bold. What are some things you would like to see in the next series? Personally I'm hoping for good looking character designs and animation, also lots of Batman family characters showing up like Huntress, Catwoman, Robin, Oracle, Batgirl, Nightwing, and maybe others. I would also like a pretty strong continuity throughout the seasons and such, not as much as say something like "Dragon Ball Z" or even "Heroes," but maybe like some story arcs and such. |

I'd like to see realistic CGI not to far from what they've been using for Arkham Asylum/City. If they can use it for video games, it shouldn't be too hard to do a consistant animated series with those effects. Let's face it, the only reason that shows like Clone Wars and Transformers: Prime have crappy, unrealistic designs is because the designers think that's what's "in". They should be able to do something with at least some semblance of realism.
I'd also like to see some larger story arcs. As well as some gritty realism (for a cartoon, at least.)

i really don't think the cgi in the arkham city trailer is possible for an animated tv series, it's just too high of a budget. it was okay for the trailer because it was like 2.5 minutes long - but i don't think even the cinematic sequences of arkham city will look as good as the trailer. just saying.
i'd actually rather have it not be cgi at all, but we'll see.
as far as characters go, i'd really like to see tim drake as robin. pleeeaaase make it happen.

I didn't say that I wanted it to look like the Arkham City trailer, I said I wanted it to look like Arkham Asylum/City. As in the gamplay models.
Remember back in the day when CG shows and movies had graphics that you couldn't possibly imagine in a video game? Do you honestly think Clone Wars' crappy character designs are the best we can do now-a-days? Take a look at DeviantArt. Amateurs can render better models than that.
Maybe that's a bit of a pipe-dream. But there's no point using CGI if you're going to use models that a 4 year old could draw. They could at least make a show that holds a candle to CGI movies from 2000-2005.
That all said, I agree with you that I'd rather they didn't make a CGI show at all. I think they should do something along the lines of Batman: Under the Red Hood as far as animation goes.

I'm not a big fan of CGI myself (most of the time anyways), but I kinda figured it was only a matter of time before they went with CGI for superhero shows like Batman.
Arkham-like character designs would be awesome, at least something close to it and closer to realism. |

I'd like to see Jason Todd, and true adaption of Knight Fall. Also I'd like Ivy to closer to her comic bookself. |
