Batman
The Batman Campbell?s Exclusive: Mattel, 2005 SKU# J7817

This is a Mail Away Exclusive Action Figure from Campbell?s Soup and is a repaint of Zip Action Batman in a Blue Camo Batsuit. You needed to complete the Order Form (available from this Web Site) and send it away with 10 Campbell?s Labels from either Campbell?s Condensed Soup or SpaghettiOs along with $1.99 Check or Money Order for Shipping and Handling, or buy it on eBay like I did.

SPECS:
The figure stands 5 3/8 inches tall and has 9 points of articulation (head, shoulders, left elbow, hips, and knees) and a large cloth cape. The right arm is straight with a permanently attached Zipline and Batarang. The Zipline extends 7? and recoils up into the arm and body.
PROS:
It?s a classic The Four Horsemen design and a Mail Away Exclusive, what more do you want?
CONS:
Only the Zipline, see my Figure for Review for Zip Action Batman for more details.
OVERALL:
Mail Away Exclusives are few and far between, so I can see collectors getting one. The last Mail Away Exclusive Batman Figure I recall was Battle Helmet Batman which was in 1995 during the BTAS figure series. The figure comes in a tray inside a nice small box that is labeled like a Campbell?s Can. Both the Box and Figure should display quite well together.

Do you have any idea how annoyed I am right now? I just took some photos of this figure and the box yesterday with my new camera, and cleaned around 'em all nice to show on here.
Here's the photos, already uploaded. Also note the silly backside shot I took, just to show that the camo pattern discontinues to his back.

Nice review and photos, FlaBat. Obviously there isn't a whole lot to say about this figure, but I agree, it was worth getting. I'm not crazy for the bright blue gapnel, but I actually like the color choice for the camo pattern. It's always nice to be rewarded for eating pasta and soup.
Oh, you mention the last Mail-Away Batman figure you recall is a 1995 BTAS figure. If that's the one I'm thinking of, it was blue & black and had to do with a VHS tape purchase. I need to get that in the archives. There was one that came after that though, known as "Fujifilm Batman". It was basically Hover Attack Batman from the Batman & Robin series, but just the figure, with a plastic cape. I found out about it a year or so ago.

You are correct Sir!
There was the Fuji Film Batman Mail Away in 1997. I have one still bagged somewhere. It was based on the Batman and Robin figures (Heat Scan Batman) as I recall and there were some that were sent out with two of the same hand. I don't recall if it was two lefts or two rights, but I do recall seeing pictures of it.
There was also a Total Justice Batman in 1997 that was a Mail Away figure as well. It was a repaint of Cyber-Link Batman from the Superman Man Of Steel series and had a translucent blue cape.
If I had just searched ?Mail? in my Excel Database of figures I would have known that.
Good job on the photos. It?s a pain sometimes to eliminate the background but it looks so much better when its done.
