Finally I joined!

Brief introduction, I've been a Batman (and Joker) fan since I was about six (yes I ran around in a Batman outfit...) so for twenty years now.

The first comics I can remember reading are the Blind Justice ark (Ducard's first ever appearance!) and the Mud Pack ark, so a quick look at the DCU Guide tells me this was Detective Comics throughout 1989. As such the late eighties through to Knightfall remains the quintessential comic-book Batman for me, and in terms of artwork, much as I love all yer Jim Lee's etc. no-one ever nails it for me like Norm Breyfogle - that to me IS Batman!

Also, like a lot of you, I absolutely freaked out over the Nolan films (seen TDK seven times in theatres!). In fact there are a lot of things I think those guys have handled better than most of the comic book writers (Sacrilege!), but I guess we can leave that for another thread.

Anyway I've been long-winded enough, really looking forward to geeking out with you guys!

This guy goes into the hospital, okay?...
His wife's just had a baby and he can't wait to see them both.
So he meets the doctor and he says, "Oh, Doc, I've been so worried. How are they?"
And the Doctor smiles and says, "They're fine, just fine. Your wife's delivered a healthy baby boy and they're both in tip-top form.
"You're one lucky guy."
So the guy rushes into the maternity ward with his flowers.
But it's empty.
His wife's bed is empty.
"Doc?" he says and turns around and the doctor and all the nurses wave their arms and scream in his face.

"APRIL FOOL! YOU'RE WIFE'S DEAD AND THE BABY'S A SPASTIC!!"

Welcome!

I have a shot of you!

Oh, and how did you come back from the dead, Conrad?
(I loved your role in "Wistling in the Dark." How was it to work with Red Skelton?)

Sum Nox!

Nice!

As regards my resurrection, let's just say "Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another..."
