I had a lot of people checking it out, but only a few sent in their answers. Only one person was able to get all five right, everyone else got 3+partial credit or lower.

The only one I knew without looking it up was the windshield wipers on the Returns Batmobile. Everything else was really hard.

Heh, goes to show what happens when you're too close to the subject matter. Still, it was fun to do, and now there are a few more Batmobile trivia tidbits out there.

I'll try to be more reasonable the next time around

Hey guys!

Holey Kustom-Kraze, Batman! That custom '60 Batmobile jumped off the internet and screamed: "WIN ME", so I just hadda try. The only problem: the bat trivia. Undaunted, I quickly scanned the internet to get me over the trouble spots known as questions 1-5.

Q1) Well, I remembered some story about Barris acquiring the Futura. Thankfully, so did these guys: http://www.javeli...tcar1.htm

Q2) Now, this one I was pretty sure about, but I went to my DVD collection just to be 100%. Clearly, wipers were added to the car.

Q3) As for "Earl Cooper", I think Pops met Harley Earl a coupla times. There's a lot of car talk at the dinner table of an automobile design chief. A quick trip through google-land confirmed that the MINI Cooper was designed by a man named, shockingly, John Cooper.

Q4) Honestly, this was the last question I answered. I really thought I was screwed as I don't read current Batman comic books. Pick a Batmobile between 1939 and 1999 and I probably could quote you issue and page. For the heck of of it, I went through the Batmobile history website, starting at the last entry in Main Chronology and went backwards. Five clicks in and I found it: http://www.javeli...tcar1.htm Thankfully, Spencer is a man of taste; I was waiting to get the Alex Ross "Justice" series in Hardcover. A quick trip to the comic book store confirmed the issue number.

Q5) I had no idea as I don't have time to go to movies. Again, the internet saved the day: http://www.google...le+cameos
Had I not been able to find a cross-referenced search, I was ready to join the KnightRider BBS. Now THAT'S dedication.

All in all, I was shocked to win. If the car is half of the usual standard of hobby excellence that is a hallmark of Spencer's work, it will be amazing. I will post some pics when it arrives!

Kind Regards,

Deane
