Did anyone else pick up the Batman/The Spirit oneshot?
It was a lot fo fun because it was Darwyn Cooke's quirky art mixed with Jeph Loeb's great writing. The story involves most of the rogues gallery of both heroes and has a lot of fun in making comparisons between the two.
I will warn you that it is written in the style of the old Eisener Spirit stories and the Batman stories of the time. Which means a lot of dialog, but there are a lot of cool things in there too.

I did, not knowing what to expect at all. It took me a few pages to get into it, but soon enough I was hooked. It's nothing too deep, but you're right - a fun story. |

It was okay. I really like Cooke's art, so that was a big selling point. It was nothing great, but I'll give the Spirit ongoing a shot when the first trade is released.

I read it and I thought it was ok. As you said (Darknight) it was a nod to the past.
I liked the art - although in a couple of pictures, Commissioner Gordon looked like he was in desperate need of a good meal! |

I love both the Spirit & Will Eisner so I'll have to check this out!
The artwork looks pretty cool too.
