In my researching of Batman and other DC merchandise, I come across a lot of quirky and perhaps rare items, or oddballs, if you will. So I thought I'd make a thread about them and post whenever I come across another black sheep of the Batman merchandising world. No one necessarily has to comment, but it'd probably help keep my spirits up...

To kick things off, let's look at this Batman cigarette lighter/key chain I just found on eBay. It's from Hong Kong, and little information is given other than its size (3-1/4" [H] x 2.0" [L] x 1.5" [W]) and that it's "100% Brand New."

With my fair knowledge, I'd say it's most likely unlicensed and obviously wasn't produced in the US. It's very unlikely to see a drug-related Batman item like this, especially in America. Heck, the only thing close that I know of is a pack of 1960s Candy Cigarettes, and those were produced in England. Anyway, the lighter certainly took a little work to produce with its fine, movie style head and body sculpt, and I like those pupiled eyes and charming little grin. Flame on, Batman. ::yellowroll::

That's pretty funny, nice find. Good idea to make a thread about these oddities.

A few months ago i won a Japanese Batman Keychain that has a figure sort of simular to that one but it's the classic blue/grey variation, not the balck bat-movie version....thanx! Please keep posting the weird stuff!
