I found this on the Wikipedia page. It's Tim Burton's first drawing of Joker with a brown coat. It looks cool to me. Kind of like Tim Sale's art style...

that's what i was just thinking. I totally see a little bit of Tim Sale in there. Awesome find!

Cool I like how it emulates Tim Sale's style. I love his work.

Ummm. Tim Sale didn't start drawing Joker until the 90s, these pictures are circa 1987-1989. Burtons is deffinitely not mimicking Sale here.

Oh, no doubt they're similair. But I think it's more a case of similair tastes and influences than one inspiring the other.
