The whole stupid campy thing would never have happened. Two-Face would have been more tragic and Riddler more scary..........
***Robin whole thing would have been done differently
Mr. Freeze more sick twisted, Ivy, not such a sex symbol more evil........BANE!!! BANE!!! BANE!!!! BETTER!!!
GOD I WISH HE HAD DONE THEM!!!

Well here's the thing: if Burton had done Batman 3, that would ahve been it. He wanted to end it as a trilogy so a 4th film wouldn't come to mind. From what I've heard on Burton's Batman 3, yes Two Face was gonna appear but one source said that Burton only wanted Riddler because more than one villian would be hard for him, Selina Kyle would have a pet shop and still having her "one life left". I think that Robin was gonna appear this time.
I also heard that Alfred was gonna die of old age and thus Bruce was all alone in the manor. So Bruce would go Edward Nygma, as a psychogist, and then finds out Bruce is Batman. Then he uses that against Bruce so he can do whatever he wants and if Batman interfered otherwise he would reveal Bruce was Batman. At the end, Gotham knows Bruce is Batman and he and Selina leave Gotham together. That was going to be Batman 3.
But on the other hand; no Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, no Batman Begins.
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.

So true. I think Burton would have been truer to the chracter than what we ended up with. They wanted to lighten the franchise up from the dark and twisted Burton look, which is too bad becasue it would have been better.

So the past two movies to back that up for his third just to end it all up as a love story? I think I hate that as much as I do BF & BR lol. And Catwoman was still catwoman at the end of the second regaurdless she only had 1 life left but I hope that story also ended with the riddler getting what was coming to him even though the result for batman would having to be ending the superhero career...at least in gotham

You know that would have actually been a nice movie. I was sad Bruce and Selena didn't get together, and for the longest time (1992-1995) I was anticipating a sequel that would cover that story, but I new nothing of magazines and did not find out about Forever till it was on Pay-Per-View; that's right I managed to miss all of the buzz and advertising, I was actually traveling cross-country when the movie was released and didn't have the time to watch much T.V. Then one day, when my house had Pay-Per-View, I walked down the stairs and there was my mom watching Two-Face and Batman fight in a helicopter; and I thought, "There's a third Batman movie?!?"

I guess it is all academic for me, because the 1995 and 1997 movies got made. I think the real question would have been: "What if Chris Nolan had made these films?" All of this is going back 10 years, so it feels like water going over the dam at this point.

In my opinion, if Burton had done Batman Forever, his Riddler would be similar to the "emo" Riddler featured in The Batman cartoons. His costume would be as dark and disturbing as Penguin's from Batman Returns, and once again, audiences would be presented with a villain that they're supposed to identify with emotionally.
Just my take on this...

I would love to have Burton direct the two movies before begins it would have been dark and tragic like his first two. Unlike that campy one-liner-fest schoemucker's crap.

BB99, you forgot Billy Dee Williams returning as Dent; they actually had to pay him compensation because he had the contract to play Dent in a sequal.

Funny, I recall reading way back when that is why Billy Dee Williams played Harvey Dent at all, was that he wanted to play Two Face and knew Dent becomes Two Face. Sadly he never got his chance.

Exactly, he even had the contract for a sequal; and he was pretty P.O'd when they decided to go for a more well known actor.
