I think at the end of The Dark Knight they should leave you at the end of your seat, like they did on Pirates 2. I really liked it becuase you can guess what happens next and then when you see the preview you get to see if you were close.

this is the way i would do it..
have harvey scarred near the end of the movie, and at the end of the credits, there would be a scene where he unravels the bandages and sees his face.

it would be cool but way 2 close to batman (89) and x-men 3 with the end of credit thing and the villan seein his face for the first time.

Something I'd like to see, and from what I've heard is what they're doing, would be a complete movie. As in no cliff-hanger or anything like that. I mean if you've read Long Halloween, imagine if they'd left Two-Face out of the end? It would have lost all emotional credibility. Not to mention that Joker's aparent involvement in Harvey's derailing would cause him to want revenge once he is defaced.
Basically, stopping th movie short of what could be an amazing climax, just to highten expectations for the third, could damage the picture.
