here is what i think will happen...
-joker just applies make up in TDK
-harvey gets scarred at the end of TDK by joker
-in the sequel to TDK, two-face will push joker into a vat of acid for revenge; and joker will become perma-clown
i think that could be really interesting...but being a movie, i have a feeling joker will die before anything like that could happen.

Umm... Ok...
Here we go...
1. Joker applies make-up for the first part of the movie.
Sometime around the second act Batman chases Joker through the city, eventually forcing him to go through a chemical factory. He tries to escape trough a vat of chemicals, which burns the make-up onto his face. He is caught and brought to a holding cell, from which he eventually escapes.
That would eplain why he's soaking wet during the scene.
2. I think Sal Maroni is most likely to scar Dent.
You've got to remember that Goyers statement on the lay-out of the films (Joker scars Harvey and he comes back in the third) was made before the script was even being written, and if you've ever written anything or even just read the progression of the script, the you'll know a lot changes in this sort of time.
3. Joker is going to survive and be featured to some extent, whether it's a cameo role or a Hannibal Lecter in Red Dragon role, in the third.
lol, sorry about posting all these thing after you, I hope it doesn't seem like I'm attacking you, it's just I've had these theories for a long time and they are really just as likely as yours at this point.

oh i know. i just wanted to see what people thought would happen cuz there's no thread for it. i would have put it in the dark knight news thread, but...predictions aren't news.
dang...that's a lot of bad guys. joker, sal, two-face(maybe), and scarecrow(rumors say he will have a small role in the movie).
if scarecrow does anything at all, maybe he'll make a laughing gas for joker.
