CHARACTERS:
William Hanson; Spectre; Crispus Allen; Plastic Man (Eel O'Brian); Eclipso (Jean Loring); Creeper (Jack Ryder); The Offspring; Batman (Bruce Wayne); Dr. Bruce Gordon
PLOT:
Eclipso tosses Jack Ryder out of a high rise window to force out the Creeper. After transforming into the Creeper the two battle it out in the streets of Gotham. The battle ends when Creeper is infected with the evil of Eclipso.
Elsewhere in Gotham City Plastic Man is attempting his big respectable heist of robbing the Gotham Bank. Spectre arrives on the scene with Hanson and Crispus with the intent of killing the Eclipso infected Eel O'Brian. Before he can do so however, Batman arrives on scene and scolds the former Justice League member.
A battle breaks out which eventually includes Eel's son Offspring. Batman injects
Offspring with a serum intended to stop Plastic Man and Offspring melts away in front of his father who in turn attempts to kill Batman. Not willing to stand by idly as Batman is killed, Crispus Allen steps in and knocks Eel unconscious. Before Batman can
apprehend Eel, Eclipso shows up and takes
Plastic Man away saying that perhaps she will return for the Dark Knight one day. Batman turns around to question Allen (whom he believed to be dead) but before the two can catch up, Allen and Spectre have disappeared.
Offspring re-builds himself as the injection caused only temporary cellular disruption - all a ruse by Batman to distract Plastic Man
Spectre holds a meeting with Crispus on the surface of the moon. After seeing Crispus step in to save Batman, Spectre comes to realize that Allen is willing to do certain things that Spectre is otherwise forbidden to do. As such Spectre sends Crispus Allen on a mission that could potentially ruin
the life of Dr. Bruce Gordon forever.
